Directions Concept & Tricks and Tips
Directions Concept :
In reasoning, the Directions Test is a type of problem where a person’s movement is given in different directions (North, South, East, West, or their combinations). The candidate has to trace the path and finally determine:
1.Final Direction → The direction in which the person/object is facing at the end.
Example: A man starts facing North, turns right, then left – find his final facing direction.
2. Final Position → The position of the person/object from the starting point.
Example: A person walks 5 km North and then 3 km East – where is he now from the starting point?3. Distance Covered / Shortest Distance → The straight-line distance (usually by using Pythagoras theorem) between the starting and final point.
